Obyvatelé Slatinic dlouho postrádali venkovní prostor, který by jim umožnil společná setkávání. Za současné podpory obce se parta místních pustila do zvelebování prostoru před farou, kterému říkají jednoduše „Naše zahrádka“. Postupně přiložila ruce k dílu celá stovka lidí. Zapojil se truhlář, někdo přinesl nářadí, někdo sazenice, jiní upekli buchtu, udělali chlebíčky, ohoblovali desky, pleli, ryli, hrabali… a dnes mají Slatiničtí místo, kde plánují pořádat spoustu sousedských akcí.
