Územní studie, která doporučuje trasování dálnice D43 přes brněnské městské části Bosonohy, Bystrc, Kníničky, tedy kolem Brněnské přehrady, má být součástí aktualizovaných zásad územního rozvoje pro Jihomoravský kraj. Spolek Občané za D43 jako obchvat celého Brna s podporou Nadace Via připravil na podzim 2019 informační kampaň upozorňující na připravované kroky Jihomoravského kraje. Vznikla petice a připomínky ke krajským zásadám územního rozvoje, ale proces schvalování dokumentu stále pokračuje. Spolek zahájil kroky, jejichž cílem je odmítnutí navrženého trasování D 43 právní cestou. Na tyto aktivity získal prostředky také od svých podporovatelů také díky dlouhodobé kampani na Darujme.cz.
